“Appreciate the update. Good to know you all are watching the forecast. For your information, we call Dolphin daily since the onset of the program and post on the bulletin board.”

Weather is only one of many variables in the daily operating life of an FPSO or Rig. While you cannot control the weather, you can be informed and take action in light of the forecast. Knowledge is Power!

Supply boats, helicopter operations, loading, unloading, FPSO/Rig transits are all extremely weather sensitive. Squall activity, fog, high wind and waves, snow, ice, low temperatures – all play a role in what happens in any given day on a site! To be prepared for any weather situation, why not keep an experienced degreed professional meteorologist from WRI on your “Staff”!

WRI can provide a daily (or sometimes more frequent) forecast to your FPSO or Rig team via email, fax or phone. Our forecast breaks down the given weather situation for each day for an easy evaluation, so you and your staff can understand the particular weather parameters which will affect the FPSO or Rig and then make an informed and timely decision. Our forecast team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for phone briefings from either your decision making team on land, or from the operations personnel on the water.

During tropical season, we do not simply give you government advisories, WRI’s forecasters make every effort to give you maximum lead-time in evaluating and taking action for any threatening tropical activity. Time is critical in the FPSO and Rig operations and WRI’s advance tropical advice can mean the difference between 6 hours and 24 hours advance notice of a pending tropical system. Can that help your operations?

Additionally are you comparing our service to the “free” information available on the internet? Or even comparing to other weather companies? With fast moving and strong weather systems, time is your greatest ally for operating a safe and cost-effective operation. We specialize in taking care of your individual needs. We do not send out computer generated forecasts. Each forecast is prepared by a meteorologist who knows your weather.

For an FPSO or Rig in transit to a new location, WRI can provide detailed weather information including wind, waves, visibilities and precipitation for the shortest and safest transit. Whether coastal or trans-ocean, our seasoned staff of marine meteorologists will guide the vessel with the latest weather information on an ongoing basis in an easy to read and understandable format.

Why not keep a professional team of meteorologists, with decades of experience on the world’s ocean, specialists who take care of your weather needs, on your team of consultants? Call us today and we can show you the benefits of having WRI on your team. We can also show you our Dolphin web site in which you can view from your own PC at home or office, detailed weather data and the daily forecast issued to the FPSO or Rig. Our goal is to keep you and your FPSO or Rig fully informed and advised of every weather need.
