Tropical Surveillance

Tropical Surveillance is provided automatically to all of our SeaWeather subscribers. As a subscriber, you will receive a daily WRI Tropical Summary, outlining all tropical features for your current ocean basin, along with any other regions that you specifically request. The summaries can be viewed both in your e-mail and online at your SeaWeather home page at login.

The summaries describe the movement and likelihood of development of any tropical features, along with descriptions and forecast positions for any active tropical systems, whether the system is classified by national/local government agencies or not. WRI's team of Meteorologists are always closely monitoring tropics worldwide. When a tropical cyclone becomes an apparent threat within 72 hours, e-mail alert messages inform you of these threats, with detailed forecast information provided on request.
